The house was as the pictures depicted except the lot is bigger than shown and the garage is huge. Carla was great to work with and she returned the security deposit in a timely manner. I rented the house along with some friends to play the Bandon Dunes Golf courses. I intend to return to the house again next year. The house is advertised as having 5 bedrooms, but it really has 6 if you include the loft. You really can't go wrong renting this house. The owners seem to either own or be associated with Bandon Crossings Golf Course, which is a great alternative to the Bandon Dunes courses and as a renter you might be able to get a reduced greens fee. I intend to take advantage of this course next year. It looks like a really good course, with greens that may actually be better than Bandon Dunes in the winter.
It's true I am prejudiced in favor of Bandon Crossings, and am glad you are planning to give it a try next time. You will get a discount, amounting to free cart and range balls with your green fee. Check out the reviews on TripAdvisor for more impartial opinions of the course!
Listing description was accurate. The small channel of water that needed to be crossed in order to get to the beach was just as photographed in the listing, although someone had put up a temporary bridge that worked great for those of us that chose to keep our feet dry. Everything was just great. Beautiful view, beautiful spacious home, Bandon was fun to visit, and the house was close to horse back riding that was an amazing experience. Loved this and hated to leave. Great reunion spot for those with family in Seattle and San Francisco!
I suppose I had high expectations before arriving, we had been planning this trip for nearly a year....a "destination birthday party" for me (who was turning 60). Well, the Pacific Panorama did NOT disappoint! In fact, it exceeded my highest expectation's. The home was more than adequate for 13 of us to enjoy! The view OUTSTANDING! my husband and I practically had to pinch ourselves each morning as we looked out at the ocean, Face Rock right in front of us! so surreal it was when we walked down on the beach at low tide out to her and all the other rocks and got "up close and personal" and then later in the day to see those same beauties out in the ocean at 'high tide' with wave crashing against them.....interesting feeling . :) The kitchen was very well equipped as most nights we ate in and there were plenty of pots and pans and a couple of large stock pots just perfect for the Crab Boil when the grand kids brought home some freshlly caught crabs from the Bandon Pier....Tony's Crab Shack was so helpful and reasonable! The bed my husband and I slept in (the master) even had one of those "sleep number" mattresses on it and it was heavenly! Every night I slept like a baby! The place was very clean and well kept, had all the supplies we could possibly want for our week's stay there. The only drawback if there was one, really wasn't a big deal to us, the little path way to the beach had suffered a bit from winter storms which we had been made aware of and we had to access the beach at the public access which really was just a about a three minute walk away. I could go on and on, but, the best advice I could give to someone contemplating renting this wonderful venue...is just go right ahead and do it! You surely won't regret it !!
Nice rooms, well stocked, comfortable, well maintained. The owner was very responsive, easy to contact. The views from the living room and kitchen were great. There's a huge 20 x 36' RV garage that the kids used for skating, and we played bean toss games. The hardy can use the trail down to the beach, or just use one of the many public access areas nearby. There was more wind than we expected which limited our time on the beach, but we went inland a ways to kayak and hike. Two of our group had travel trailers, which we parked near the house. This is a very nice home, and we would stay here (or another of Carla's houses) again.
This beautiful place was better than we could have imagined! The layout is so well done. Also the bedding and furniture were excellent. It is very clean and well maintained. Carla was so pleasant to work with. We will most certainly be returning to this great location. This home has a welcoming vibe, I will recommend it to others.
My husband and I and both of our childen stayed here for 6 nights and the house is gorgeous! The views are beautiful and everything we needed was included, coffee machine, toilet paper, handsoap, cooking equipment etc. This is a huge house and I would recommend it for larger families but it's also great for a small family vacation. Beach access is a little tricky, you have to walk down a hill, then climb down a rpe ladder then walk through a little shallow river to get on the beach, it wasn't too great with my 1 year old and 4 year old but for older kids and adults it will make an exciting adventure, there is also easy beach access around the corner that is only a 1 minute drive away for families with small children.
My family and I loved this home. very spacious and clean. The perfect spot for families with teens. The annex provides two bedrooms and living space that allow the teens to have their own space. The views from the living room are breath taking. We probably spotted 50 whales in the three days we were there. I highly recommend this spot for any family visiting Bandon. The Hague's
