Great views with lots of bedrooms (5 plus loft) make this a great vacation home. It is quite easy access for those who don't want to do a lot of stairs, only requiring a few to get into the house, then it is all but the loft on the same level. Enjoy wonderful ocean views from the living, kitchen, dining, loft, deck and master bedroom.
House layout:
The front door leads stright through to the living /dining area, or left to the kitchen, all of which have wonderful views. There is a large screen smart TV with cable. The kitchen is open to the other living areas, and a deck is just off the dining room. Above the living area is a sleeping loft with 2 twin beds. Off the living area is a queen bedroom, with a bathroom that is also shared by the living spaces.
Down the hall is another queen bedroom, which shares a Jack and Jill bathroom with the large master bedroom with a king bed.
Off the hallway and past the laundry room is a small family room with another TV. from there you can access another full bath and two more queen bedrooms. There is a separate entrance to the family room area as well, and a peekaboo view of the ocean.
Our private beach access is just down a path then a sandy hill. Public beach access is about 1/2 mile away. Sometimes there is no creek directly in front of our access, and sometimes there is, based on winter storms. The creek is usually shallow in the summer, and a great place for kids to play farther away from the bigger surf.
It's a very quiet area, with lovely views. You will need a car, and there is plenty of parking available.
It's a short drive to Old Town's shops and restaurants, and about 4 miles south to Bandon Crossings' great golf or 20 minutes north to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
Bandon, Oregon is a wonderful coastal retreat, with quaint shops and restaurants, a crabbing and fishing dock, and charter fishing. It has miles of lovely beaches, tide pools, wildlife, and pounding surf. There's lots to do: horseback riding on the beach, flying kites, kayaking through the Bandon Marsh, fishing for salmon in Coquille River, exploring the Sand Dune National Recreation Area (about a half hour drive), or serving as a base for day trips, such as south to the Redwoods National Park in northern California.
GOLF:
Some land is meant for Golf. Bandon, Oregon is one of those places. Bandon Crossings Golf Course is a unique and interesting 18 hole course with carts available, and recommended as a hidden gem by Links Magazine, and included in Matt Ginela’s Ladder of Value Courses in the US.
It's famous neighbor, the world class Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, includes the golf courses of Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes, Pacific Trails, Old Macdonald, and opening in 2020, the Sheep Ranch. Join golfers from all over the world playing these fabulous golf courses.
Our guests can enjoy golf at Bandon Crossings Golf Course at the favorable Crossings Club rates, including a cart.

CHECK IN
Check in time is 4 pm. There is a lock box by the front door. The lock box code is “0763.” Pull towards you to get the keys inside. (Please put them back in before you leave). Also, please shut the little cover over the combination after you have opened it to try to keep the salt air out. Be careful not to lock yourself out. You can call the housekeepers but there is a $15 lockout charge.
There is a white information notebook in the kitchen; please review it. If you feel an earthquake or a Tsunami warning, stay off the beach!!
Internet: There is secure wireless internet for Bandonvistas, and the key is "GolfCrossings". It is located in the loft; if you have any trouble with it, try unplugging it, wait about 30 seconds, and plug it back in.
Garbage: If you are there on a Monday night, PLEASE put the rolling trash can all the way out by the street, or contact the housekeepers for assistance. It is only collected once a week, early Tuesday. Extra bags can be put by the can. Please bring the can back in afterwards. Most cans & bottles have a 10 cent return deposit, so try to keep them from filling the trash can.
Beach Access: The private beach access is down the gravel road next to our driveway and straight through a narrow path to the beach. Winter storms can change the routing of Johnson Creek, so sometimes our beach access may have a shallow creek to cross over. There is public beach access to the north at Windemere (north end) and to the south at Mars Lane, either is about ½ mile away.
NO SMOKING, NO VAPING is allowed anywhere indoors or within 10 feet of any door or open window. (By definition, “smoking” includes any product that disburses fumes or vapors or smoke, whether or not by burning).
NO PETS or Animals allowed in the house under any conditions.

DIRECTIONS:
From the Portland area (or Eugene): go south on I-5 from to the turnoff to Drain, Elkton and Reedsport on Highway #38 (exit #162). Take 38 to Reedsport and turn south (left) on Highway 101, through North Bend, Coos Bay, and Bandon.
From the North Bend airport: ask the car rental agency for directions to Highway 101 south, and follow it to Bandon.
From the south along I-5: go north on I-5 to the Winston/Green turnoff, highway #42. Follow the signs along 42 west past Myrtle Point to the town of Coquille. From Coquille at around Mile Post 11 you can turn left to Bandon on the 42S highway. It is about 20 miles on a very winding road to Bandon. When you reach highway 101 go south (left).
The house is in the southern part of Bandon. From Highway 101 go west on Seabird Lane, and when it ends at Beach Loop Drive turn left (south). Go past the Best Western Inn at Face Rock, and as the road goes up again, look for a small gravel driveway on the right with a sign “3802” (it is on a post and should reflect lights if it’s dark). As you drive back onto the driveway it is the first house.
From the south on Hwy 101, go north till you come to a sign on the left welcoming you to Bandon. Turn left on Seabird Lane, just before the sign, then left on Beach Loop Drive to 3802 (see above).

We love our vacation homes in Bandon, with it's amazing beach and golf courses. And we now have a beautiful town home in Portland, near downtown in the wonderful Brooklyn neighborhood.
